The Noosa apartments are clean, modern and spacious, and as examples of thoughtful design, are very easy to live in. The design of the apartments make good use of materials and textures, the retro chic painted brickwork and textured ceilings, a nod to a time when patterns were geometric, and colour schemes like orange and brown dominated. Thankfully, a cleansing layer of white paint and some well-chosen fittings bring us into the twenty first century. Along with the decor, the furnishings are crisp, angular and modern, but also very comfortable. There isn’t much point just looking at great living room furniture.
Our waterfront position is also very close to to the Noosa Ferry stop, which makes travelling around the Noosa waterways very handy. The Noosa Ferry circumnavigates a course from Tewantin to the Noosa Yacht Club, Big Pelican, O Boats, Q Place and finally the Sheraton Resort Jetty. During the week the ferry runs with a service six times a day, and in the weekends there are ten ferries to fill demand.
As well as the commuting service, there are the Sunset and Eco Cruises. The Sunset Cruise is a very popular trip which collects and drops passengers off at the usual stops. The hour long cruise then heads to the yachts of Woods Bay, past the upscale waterfront homes of Noosa Sound, and down to Lake Weyba before taking in the sunset at the river entrance. It’s a bring your own drinks cruise. The ferry service will provide glassware and ice. A perfect opportunity for pre dinner drinks.
If you enjoyed the Lake Weyba leg of the Sunset Cruise then the Eco Cruise will be a great opportunity for a more detailed Noosa Biosphere experience. A two and a half hour journey, the cruise has spectacular views of beaches, mountains, birds and marine life. In between, the ferry stops for short guided walk to look at some of the botanical highlights of the area. The cruise includes a generous morning tea in the shadow of the National Park. Accessible to the main shopping, entertainment and dining strip along Noosa (Hastings Street), there is very little wanting from this location. A minute from Main Beach and access to the Noosa River from the other side means you can easily survive a holiday without bringing, or hiring a car. With a taxi rank and bus stop just five minutes walk from Jacaranda Noosa Apartments any longer trips across town or the Sunshine Coast are very manageable. For local and fun ways to navigate Noosa, there’s a scooter and bike hire shop just around the corner. Exploring the Noosa River by ferry is also easy; one of the jetty stops is at the rear of our complex.
